git clone https://github.com/vedderb/vesc_tool.git
sudo apt-get install build-essential qtcreator libudev-dev libqt5serialport5-dev qtdeclarative5-dev libqt5bluetooth5

Then open the vesc_tool.pro and hit Ctrl+B and the VESC-Tool should be compiling within Qt Creator (debug build).
